We are two sisters who have always loved to
make crafts, beaded ornaments, beaded
Christmas trees, and you probably remember
the little "rebound buddies" we hand sewed
and sold at many craft shows in the area.
They were stuffed animal shaped toys on a
long elastic cord that bounced along side
many happy children.
For years our family has grown roses and we
sold many of our hand made ornaments in
the family run flower shop. Now, the roses
haven't been growing for the past year, so
we've decided to fill the former flower shop /
craft store with tons of beads, findings, kits
and hand made ornaments.
You may wonder why we named this new,
improved venture "Crystal Mountain Beads",
well it's in honour of our dad, who we lost last
year. Our family name translates into "clear"
or "crystal clear mountain", hence Crystal
Mountain. I know, our store is no where near
a mountain, but it is beside a vineyard, next
to the greenhouse (I hope the roses will be
growing again soon). We have managed to
move both of the coolers out to the back of
the store (who said nagging doesn't work).
As for converting the flower shop into a bead
store, we were shocked at how many vases
we found. Tucked away in every imaginable
corner. So now some of them are used to
display loose beads and strands and
necklaces.
Overall, we really want to have the best
beads and findings on hand that you need to
make wonderful jewellery, ornaments and
gifts. And we'll be there to teach you how.
